Raddatz is a reporter and correspondent who reports Nightline and World News Tonight with David Muir among others. Additionally, she is also a guest on PBS’s Washington Week and also co-anchors and fills in on This Week with George Stephanopoulos. Her journalism career began at WCVB-TV, an ABC News Boston affiliate where she served as the chief correspondent. Come 1993 to 1998, she worked for National Public Radio where she enclosed the Pentagon.

In 1999, Raddatz joined ABC News and started off by serving as the station’s State Department correspondent. Her role was changed in May 2003 and started serving as the network’s senior national security correspondent. In this role, she extensively reported from Iraq and all that the Iraq battles and wars were like. Furthermore, she got a tip that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (terrorist) had been found dead and for that, she and ABC News were the first news organization in the whole world to break the news.
Raddatz did an exclusive interview with Dick Cheney on March 24, 2008, which took place in Ankara, Turkey, during the fifth anniversary of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. In November 2008, she was appointed to her role as the network’s Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent. She has also spent some time working as the moderator of the Vice-Presidential debate that took place on October 11, 2012. The debate was between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. In 2016, she also served as a moderator for the second presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump at Washington University in St. Louis.
