Mullen’s assignments have included reporting from war zones over the years. He was honored in Iraq for his account of the Kurds’ first vote in that country’s historic election. Mark has also covered stories in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States, such as Hurricane Katrina, the aftermath of 9/11, and the California wildfires.
The vast majority of Mark’s stories as an NBC domestic correspondent took place in Southern California, with many of them taking place in San Diego.
