Maria came to WCVB Channel 5 after nearly eighteen years as a news anchor and reporter at Boston’s WFXT-TV. Maria previously worked as a reporter for WJAR-TV in Providence, Rhode Island. She started her career as a Statehouse reporter for a number of local stations, including Boston’s WBUR. She has also worked as a reporter for NPR, WCBS Radio, and WABC Radio in New York.
