LaRosa began her career at the ABC station, WTVM-TV in Columbus, Georgia as a meteorologist and weather anchor. From there, she went to work for the FOX station, WXIX-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio as a meteorologist. After that, she joined KYW-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she served as a weekday morning and noon meteorologist.
In the year 2010, she went to work for The Weather Channel as an on-camera meteorologist for both PM Edition and Weekend Now, along with her co-host Todd Santos. She transitioned to Your Weather Today from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and the 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM edition of First Outlook, in March 2012. While at The Weather Channel, she also co-anchored a number of popular broadcasts such as Weekend Recharge, Wake Up with Al, and America’s Morning Headquarters. LaRosa left The Weather Channel on September 23, 2018, to now join WNBC – NBC 4 New York.
The American Meteorological Society (AMS) has honored LaRosa with its Seal of Approval as a certified broadcasting meteorologist. LaRosa is a member (affiliate) of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
