Bojorquez serves at CBS as CBS News national correspondent based in Miami. He reported big news stories in Texas and all over the South and was one of the first network news correspondents on the Dallas Police Attack in July 2016. In 2015, Bojorquez was part of the team that received the Edward R. Murrow Award for a story on a tornado that destroyed areas of Arkansas.

Bojorquez has covered widely from Latin America for CBS News, most recently after Pope Francis’ visit to Mexico in February 2016. He has traveled to Argentina, Cuba, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
Previously, he was a general assignment reporter for WSB-TV in Atlanta. He reported a variety of significant news, including Tropical Storm Fay, the 2008 presidential elections, and the first Sunday service at Ebenezer Baptist Church since President Obama’s victory. In 2011, NATAS Southeast Emmy was given the Live News Award.
Prior to his time at WSB-TV, Bojorquez had worked as a general reporter for KNXV-TV in Phoenix, Arizona, since 2002. In 2004 and 2005, he received the Associated Press Award for Best Live Reporting for his coverage of the state’s wildfires. In July 2006, he flew to Mexico City to cover Mexico’s presidential election, and also published regular web reporting and photo essays on the election.
Bojorquez started his journalism career in 2000 as a general reporter for KESQ-TV in Palm Springs, California, shortly after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Southern California, where he was named Outstanding Broadcast Journalism Student of the Year.
