Mandy Noell Profile
Mandy Noellis an American Emmy award-winning news anchor/reporter working for FOX 56 in Lexington, Kentucky. She joined the station in September 2021.
Mandy Noell Career
Noell serves at FOX 56 as a Morning News Anchor. Before joining FOX 56, she worked for KARK as the Morning News anchor and reporter at KARK and a contributor to Fox 16. She joined the KARK news team in January 2020 and left in August 2021. Mandy is a devoted Virginia Tech Hokie and hails from Pittsburgh. During her interview, she came to Little Rock for the first time, and she fell in love with the Natural State and the City Within a Park. Mandy worked as the principal evening anchor at KARK’s sister station, WKBN TV in Youngstown, Ohio, for almost three years.
Mandy solo-anchored two Emmy award-winning newscasts and one Edward R. Murrow Award-winning newscast in Youngstown over the years. The national opioid crisis hit Youngstown particularly hard, and Mandy sponsored many live town hall gatherings, with lawmakers, leaders, and community members working on the front lines of the crisis in attendance. She also organized a special broadcast to commemorate the Women’s Suffrage struggle. Mandy also produced and created a documentary on two teen girls, Sarah Boehm and Kathryn Menendez, who was murdered in a cold case in 1994. One of the most crucial aspects of Mandy’s job, she says, is bringing attention to murder victims and the missing. Victims deserve to be heard, and journalists have a responsibility to speak up for those who can’t.
Mandy spent nearly four years in the newsroom at WMBF News in Myrtle Beach before coming to Youngstown. Her primary function was as a Breaking News Anchor/Reporter, but she also worked with the digital team, producing web pieces, due to her love of writing. She reported from waist-high water in her own neighborhood during the 2015 thousand-year flooding event, as well as the disappearance of Heather Elvis, the record 2013 ice storm, and many hurricanes. Mandy is a firm believer in journalistic ethics and will always fight for truth, accuracy, fairness, and justice. Mandy is a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas.
She spends her free time watching whatever sport is in the season when she isn’t rooting on the Hokies and Pittsburgh sports teams. Mandy, an outdoor enthusiast, fell in love with Little Rock and everything it had to offer. Trail running, hiking, climbing, and kayaking are some of her favorite activities. She is also a serious foodie. She’s also a huge gourmet, and she’d love to hear about the greatest eateries in Arkansas. Her two fluffy, sassy rescue puppies Bailey and Zoe, AKA the BowWowBrats, boss her about when she’s not attempting new things.
