Lourdes Duarte is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and investigative reporter who is currently working at WGN. She serves as an investigative reporter and co-host of the WGN Evening News which airs at 4 pm. In addition to serving as a co-host, she is also the co-anchor of WGN Morning News and a reporter for WGN News at Nine.

She joined the WGN-TV team in September 2007 as a general assignment reporter for the WGN Evening News, WGN News at Nine, and the WGN Midday News. As for her education, Duarte is a graduate of DePaul University with a bachelor of arts in communications.
Previously, she worked at WJBK-TV, the Fox affiliate in Detroit, Michigan where she served as a reporter and a fill-in anchor. Furthermore, she also did work at WXIN-TV in Indianapolis where she served as a reporter for a period of two years.
While she worked at WXIN-TV, she launched and hosted the station’s public affairs program, “Hoy en Dia,” and also served as the anchor of the daily news cut-ins in Spanish for radio station WEDJ-FM. Furthermore, she also worked at WHOI-TV where she served as a reporter. Duarte also worked at WTMI-FM and WLRN-FM. Her career began in Chicago where she served as a freelance reporter for Telemundo.
In addition, she is a four-time Emmy Award winner prior to also receiving an Emmy nomination for a story on deportation. Together with a V, they had boarded the plane that transported undocumented immigrants to their home country. Furthermore, while she worked at WGN, she hosted Adelante Chicago. She was chosen in 2009 as one of DePaul University’s 14 Under 40 and is on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Communication.
