Quinn went to Boston College where he attained his bachelor’s degree in communication. When it comes to his profession, Quinn serves at WCBS as the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. weekday weathercaster. He began as a weather anchor for “CBS This Morning Saturday” at WCBS.
Since he started his career, he has won several awards including 14 Emmy Awards some of them being for “Best Weather Anchor” in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015. Prior to joining CBS New York, he worked at the NBC-owned and operated station|WTVJ based in Miami where he was an anchor. While at WTVJ, he enclosed the 2005 hurricane season alongside the former director of the National Hurricane Center, Max Mayfield.
Quinn started his journalism career working at WVIR in Charlottesville, Virginia where he served as the weekend weather anchor and evening news anchor. He also spent some time working at WADA-LP based in Charlottesville and WQMZ-FM where he served as an on-air personality. In addition to that, he also worked at WVAO where he served as the news director and morning show co-host. Furthermore, he holds a Federal Aviation Administration certificate in meteorology.
