Kilmer serves as the weeknight 4 p.m., co-anchor alongside David Johnson. Prior to joining WPXI-TV, she worked at WAVY-TV in the Virginia Beach area where she served as the evening reporter. Prior to her tenure at WAVY-TV, she worked at WFMZ-TV based in Berks County where she served as a reporter. During her time at WFMZ-TV, she enclosed several stories including the indictment of disgraced Attorney General Kathleen Kane. She also enclosed an alleged “pay-to-play” scheme among city officials in Reading and Allentown and so much more.
Kilmer began her TV career working at WAND-TV based in Central Illinois where she served as a multimedia journalist. During her tenure at WAND-TV, she edited as well as shot her own stories while still operating a bureau in Champaign.
Since Kilmer began her journalism career, she has won several awards and honors including The Associated Press. She was also honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She had spent less than a year as an intern at the CBS and FOX affiliates in Philadelphia. Kilmer went to Ursinus College where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, with a degree in Media and Communication Studies and an academic minor in English. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.
