Before Ling joined CNN, she served as a contributor to National Geographic’s Explorer and Nightline, as well as a field correspondent for “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” She has provided live coverage from multiple countries on stories like the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda, bride burning in India, gang rape in the Congo, and many others. “Our America with Lisa Ling,” an acclaimed documentary series started to air on OWN in the year 2011.
