Lisa Bell is an American Anchor/Reporter working for WKMG News/ News 6 where she serves the station as an Evening Anchor. There, she anchors the Evening News at 4, 5, 6, 7, and 11 PM. She joined the News 6 team in the month of October 2011.

Bell attended the University of Idaho where she studied between 1999 and the year 2002. There, she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Spanish, Journalism, and Mass Communication. While there, she was the ASUI Senator and a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority.

Bell works for WKMG News serving the station as an Evening News Anchor. He is no stranger to Central Florida. Bell has been working with the station since the year 2007 while covering big stories which impact the community. He was promoted to News 6 Evening Anchor in the year 2014. Bell got her first break in the news industry during a chance meeting while attending the University of Idaho.
During that time, she was giving a speech about the Boys and Girls Club when she was approached afterward by the News Director of the CBS Affiliate in her hometown of Lewiston, Idaho. Asides from this, she was asked to become the station’s weather girl and the rest remains history.
Bell’s love for the news took her to Pensacola where she was a Weekend Anchor/Reporter. While in the panhandle, she covered Hurricane Ivan in the year 2004 and Hurricane Katrina in the year 2005. Asides from this, she flew with the Navy’s elite Blue Angels which she says was a thrilling adventure until the pilot successfully caused her to blackout several times. From the year 2007, he called Central Florida home.
Bell also covered several life-changing events which range from the end of the space shuttle era to hurricanes, the Pulse Nightclub shooting, and the Casey Anthony trial among others. During her free time, she enjoys visiting the beach, traveling to new destinations, and walking around any of Central Florida’s beautiful lakes.
Bell stated that some of her favorite restaurants are Cafe Tu Tu Tango, Thai Cuisine Restaurant, Grills, Chez Vincent in Winter Park, Hillstone, Holler Bach’s Willow Tree Café, and Santiago’s Bodega. On the other hand, some of her favorite food include Artichokes, Panang Curry, and Avocado.
Lisa’s favorite quote is Be the change you want to see in the world. Her favorite theme park happens to be Epcot. She states that she can’t miss the Food and Wine Festival or the Candlelight Processional. Bell’s favorite Central Florida hangouts are New Smyrna Beach, Lake Eola where she got engaged, and any U-pick farm. She finished that among the places she would really love to visit are Africa and the Alps.

On a visit to Leu Gardens in Orlando back in the year 2018, her two sons fell in love with the vegetable garden. Later on, they decided to plant their own garden. After this, her boys discovered a little gnome in their garden placed overnight by News 6 Anchor, Ginger Gadsden.
Later on, they named the Gnome Norman and soon started writing short stories about Norman the Gnome. From then on, she has published two children’s book, Norman the Gnone Has Colourful Friends, and Norman the Watchful Gnome.
She states that she hopes her books will inspire parents and children to discover all the benefits of gardening. These range from boosting nutritional, physical, and mental health to helping the planet. Also embedded in her stories are messages of inclusiveness, love, friendship, and diversity.

Bell was born in Idaho and was raised as an adopted kid whereby she grew up with little knowledge about her biological family. Prior to the death of her biological dad, Donnie, she had spoken to him and realized she has a biological half-brother named Rob. Later on, after doing Ancestry DNA, it revealed some details and there she messaged Rob.
She states that she had half-siblings but never had an idea how to find them and was always sure they were out there because her aunts had already met them before. Bell did research and found out where her birth parents were.
Bell had spoken to all of her father’s sisters. Later on, after getting in touch with her half-brother she involved her aunts on a conference call on Skype so they could meet him. Lisa stated that she knew her aunts and her cousins missed Donne and was hoping meeting Rob would mean a lot to them. During the conference call, they commented on how Rob resembled Donnie.

The duo are proud parents to their two kids, Henry who was born in the year 2014, and Graham who was born in the year 2016. They are also proud parents to the two dogs, Coco and Kiwi. As a family, they reside in Orlando.
