Lil Jon is an American rapper, producer, and former frontman of the rap group Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz who happens to be among the cast members of Lil Jon Wants to Do What? This show premiered on the 2nd of May 2023 on HGTV at 10/9c.

Jon attended Beecher Hills Elementary School and Southwest Middle School which were both located within the Atlanta Public School district. In his school times, his mother described him as a high achiever early on and being independent, and a passionate reader.
During his time in middle school, he became lifelong friends with Dwayne “Emperor” Searcy (future DJ and radio personality for Radio One’s WHTA), Vince Phillips (named as one of Billboard’s Top Music Lawyers in 2020), and Robert McDowell. This team would later become business partners.
The four would later on become quickly immersed in the skateboarding culture and would later work at Skate Escape, a popular skate and bicycle shop near the city’s iconic Piedmont Park. Jon went on to join Frederick Douglas High School whereas his best friends attended Benjamin E. Mays High School for their magnet program.
Then, he was a member of the marching band. Asides from this, they started attending concerts at the Masquerade. This was in order for them to see their favorite band which includes Agent Orange and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Jon happens to be a cast member on the show, Lil Jon Wants to Do What? He, is, however, known for producing popular hip-hop songs and making the music industry his only major talent. The Grammy Award-nominated artist is now the host of the new series on HGTV, Lil Jon Wants What.
He states that he loves walking into someone’s house and turning it upside down. Asides from this, he states that when people hear his name, they automatically think of fun. Asides from this, they also produced “Salt Shaker”, “Snap Yo Fingers”, “Cyclone”, “Goodies,” and “Freek-a-Leek.” Being a five-time Grammy Award nominee, he won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Performance with Usher and Ludacris for “Yeah!”
While still one of the Top Billboard Music Award Winners of All Time back in the year 2016, he achieved is 8th number 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Chart as a songwriter on “My Type” a song by California rapper Saweetie. Asides from this, he was also a songwriter on the rapper’s single “Tap In” which reached number 2 on the same chart.

Jon happens to be among the cast members of Lil Jon Wants to Do What on HGTV. This series premiered on the 2nd of May 2023 at 10/9c on HGTV. He, alongside designer and expert builder, Anitra Mecadon, will be helping skeptical homeowners who feel trapped in a boring home find their design wild side.
His ideas are pretty unconventional. Jon’s creative vision is to maximize the features that homeowners have overlooked and seem almost impossible to execute at times. For him, he is lucky his design team is undaunted.
This series starts with a family basement reno for clients who want a fun entertainment spot for the whole family. In the show, we will get to watch as Lil Jon and Anitra go above and beyond opting to create an epic club space complete with a chic lounge, karaoke stage, and wet bar.
The president of HGTV, Jane Latman, asked who wouldn’t want to see Lil Jon’s creative talent traverse the world of hip hop into the world of home renovation. She went on to state that they expect fans to say Yeah!! Yeah!! In this show, he will work alongside Anitra Mecadon.
