Levan Reid Career
Reid serves at WBZ-TV as the veteran sports reporter for WBZ-TV’s and The New England Patriots’ flagship programs “Patriots All-Access” and “Patriots Gameday.” Also, he serves as a contributor to the “Patriots 5th Quarter” post-game show. Reid’s career began in 1992 at WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire.
In 1996, he moved to FOX 25 (WFXT-TV) in Boston, where he worked as a sports reporter and covered all of the city’s major sporting events. Levan joined WUSA-TV in Washington, DC in 2003 and worked there until 2009, after which he freelanced for a number of organizations before joining WBZ-TV as a freelancer.
Reid has covered events such as the World Series and Super Bowls all over the country. He is motivated by the fans’ enthusiasm for their sports and claims that he derives meaning from his work because the fans care so much. Football is his favorite sport to cover because “every week it’s all eggs in one basket,” he says.
Levan earned a bachelor’s degree in History and Philosophy from Notre Dame College in Manchester, New Hampshire, as well as minors in English and Communications. He played football for a year at Notre Dame but preferred to play second base for the college baseball team. Levan relaxes by going to the gym or eating a gourmet meal when he is not working.
