Leslie Rangel Career
She earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a master’s degree in Spanish language teaching from the University of Texas at Austin. Leslie currently serves as the morning news anchor from 7 to 10 am at FOX 7 Austin. In addition to her role at FOX 7, she also serves as a journalist of color investigative reporter fellow at Investigative Reporters and Editors(IRE). She is also an active board member of Con Mi Madre.
Prior to working at FOX 7, Leslie worked as a crime reporter for KXAN News. Leslie previously worked at KFOR in Oklahoma City and KFDM News in Beaumont, Texas.
