Green serves as the chief religion correspondent at FOX News Channel based in New York. In 2013, she went to Rome and enclosed the retirement of Pope Benedict XVI and the election of Pope Francis. She also enclosed the beatification of Pope John Paul II in 2011 as well as the 2008 Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to the United States. Before working at FNC, she worked at WBBM-TV (CBS-2) based in Chicago, IL where she served as a weekend news anchor and correspondent.
Green previously worked at KSTP-TV (ABC-5) based in St. Paul, Minnesota where she served as a general assignment reporter from 1988 to 1993. In addition to working at FNC, she is also a well-known concert pianist. Over the years, she has interviewed a ton of newsmakers and musicians including Joshua Bell, Placido Domingo, and Pierre Boulez.
Green went to The University of Minnesota where she attained her degree in piano performance. She was also a student at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. While still in college, in 1984, she was named Miss Minnesota and the 1985 Miss America contest third runner-up.
