She is a proud alumnus of Arkansas State University, Mississippi State University, and Kennesaw State University. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Arkansas State University in the year 1991. From Mississippi State University, she graduated with a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology in 1999. In the year 2009, Huckabee earned a Master’s Degree in Education at Kennesaw State University. Huckabee has worked at an ABC-affiliated TV station in Albuquerque, New Mexico, KOAT-TV as a Meteorologist. She has also worked for KARK-TV, an NBC-affiliated TV station in Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as a CBS-affiliated TV station in Salt Lake City, Utah, KUTV-TV, as a weathercaster. In addition, Huckabee has served as a weather fill-in for CBS Saturday Early Show, for 2 years in New York City, and WGCL-TV(a CBS-affiliated) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Huckabee is passionate about environmental issues, particularly air pollution, education, and women’s health. During her leisure, she enjoys watching movies, particularly international films. She is an experienced runner who has completed multiple marathons. Her interest has evolved into running at least 1 international marathon per year, with Tromso, Norway, being her favorite so far.
