Kudlow is a proud graduate of the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. He graduated from there in the year 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in history. Before that, Kudlow worked for Bear Sterns as a senior managing director and chief economist. For 4 years (1981-1985), he served as an associate director for planning and economics at the Office of Management and Budget during the administration of Ronald Reagan.
Kudlow started his journalism career at the New York Federal Reserve where he worked as a junior financial analyst. From there, he went to work for Wall Street at Bear Stearns and Paine Webber as a financial analyst. Kudlow is a strong volunteer in the community. He is an active member of the Catholic Advisory Board of the Ave Maria Mutual Funds. He is also on the Kemp Institute at the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy’s advisory committee.
