While there, she served as a weekday Morning Reporter and weekend morning Anchor for five years. She reported massive flooding events, hurricanes, rare snowfall, as well as tropical storms.
Steiner has always been fascinated by weather and is thrilled to forecast for the state of Minnesota. Prior to coming to work in New Orleans, she did a whole everything in Spokane, WA. She began working there as a general assignment reporter, moved to mornings, and later to a weekend weathercaster. Her first job on television began at KOMU-TV.
During her time there, she was still in college at the University of Missouri and she worked for four years. During her free time, she likes swimming, snow skiing, playing tennis, and volleyball, watching sports, quilting, and cross-country skiing. In addition, she enjoys spending time quality time with her family. Steiner likes involving in her community, church, and singing at Saturday night mass.
From May 2011 to Aug 2011, she interned at Fox Business Network. She also worked at KHQ-TV as a weekend weather anchor for two years. While there she forecasted for KHQ Local News Saturday, which was a 3-hour morning show, and also KHQ Saturday and Sunday evening broadcasts at 5,6,10, and 11.
