She then worked for two years as a reporter for KKTV (CBS) in Colorado Springs, CO. She covered topics important to the region’s large military community in between blizzards and mountain rescues. Katherine was born and raised in Portland, where she attended Reynolds High School.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Mt. Hood Community College and Western Oregon University. She also competed in track and field for the Wolves. Katherine puts a high emphasis on giving back to her community.
She hosts local fundraisers, helps at her church, and recently won a charity dance competition with her Tango show. Katherine likes to go for runs, paint, plant, and play the violin.
