She began her journalism career in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. After working there for some time, she headed to Greenville, Mississippi. She also worked in Evansville, Indiana at WEHT-TV. In the course of her working time there, she served the station as a reporter and anchor for three years. Her career also took her to KSL 5 Eyewitness News where she worked as an investigative reporter for five years.
Throughout her career, she has covered multiple major stories including the kidnapping return of Elizabeth Smart and witnessed an execution by lethal injection. To date, she recalls the story of a 10-year-old Barway Collins of Crystal, Minnesota who disappeared only to be found tragically murdered. Her passion is covering stories that bring important issues to light and that give people of voice in their communities. Scullin also covered the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games and likes getting the chance to meet people and athletes from all over the world.
