Loftus serves as the weekend sports anchor and reporter at WFLA News. She previously worked at WGNO ABC 26 based in New Orleans, Louisiana where she served as a sports reporter and anchor from January 2017 till her departure in January 2020. While at WGNO ABC26, she reported on the SEC(LSU), NFL(Saints), AAC(Tulane), and high school sports. She also began a franchise by the name of “Pizza and the Playbook” where she would interview coaches and athletes over pizza talking about their careers.
From September 2011 to December 2016, Loftus worked at WDBJ-TV where she served as the weekend sports anchor and reporter based in Roanoke, Virginia. While at WDBJ-TV, she covered several major sports events including UVA baseball’s back-to-back trips to the College World Series final and Championship in 2015. She also enclosed Virginia Tech football vs. Michigan in the 2012 Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, NASCAR finishes at Martinsville Speedway, and Frank Beamer’s retirement among others.
Prior to Loftus’ tenure at WDBJ-TV, she worked at WHAG-TV where she served as a sports director, weekend sports anchor, and reporter based in Hagerstown, Maryland. On joining WHAG-TV, she started off by serving as a sports reporter from October 2006 to December 2007. From December 2007 to February 2010, she started serving as the weekend sports anchor and reporter at WHAG-TV. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She also enjoys biking, kayaking, waterskiing, going to concerts, cooking, and going to sporting events.
