Karen then went on to WHOA-TV in Montgomery, Alabama, then to WTVC-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee, then to WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Florida, before eventually settling down at WDIV-TV.
Karen has received several honors, including Emmys awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and the Society of Professional Journalists, as well as awards and recognitions from a number of non-profit organizations for which she volunteers.
