Sundlun is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan. She attended the university in 1993 and graduated in the year 1997. She has studied in Spain and is fluent in Spanish. When it comes to her profession, Sundlun serves at WFSB as Chief Digital Anchor, covering breaking stories, and appearing on Eyewitness News at Noon and Afternoon at 4 PM. She also serves as a co-host of Great Day Connecticut alongside Scot Haney, from Monday to Friday at 3 PM.

Also, she holds another Emmy Award for a story that gave an in-depth look at sharks swimming in the waters of New England. The story was entitled “Swimming with Sharks.” Hartford Magazine has named her “Best Local TV News Reporter.” Additionally, she was included in the Top 40 Under 40 of Hartford Business Journal, in the year 2006.
Sundlun began her TV career at WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island where she worked as a youth reporter. She has also worked at a station in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and worked as an intern at CNN and the White House’s Washington Bureau.

Sundlun posted a picture of their wedding on her Facebook page on August 1, 2019, celebrating their 16th marriage anniversary. The couple takes great pride in being dad and mom to their 2 children, Julian and Helena. In the year 1993, Sundlun filed a suit that alleged that her dad (Bruce) bred her into a relationship with her mom (Judith). In the initial stages of the suit, her dad stated that payment to his wife of $35,000 in the year 1976 and Sundlun’s adoption by Robert Hewes in the late ’70s had fully absolved him of financial responsibility in the matter. Bruce and Judith however accepted Sundlun fully as their daughter and assured that Sundlun’s college education was fully financed.
