Farmer serves at WSB-TV as an anchor on Channel 2 Action News at 5 & 6 and the Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat at 11 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition to anchoring WSB-TV’s weeknight broadcasts, he often moderates political debates and works on special assignments that have included visiting Cuba with Georgia’s governor, one-on-one in the White House with President Barack Obama, touring the Panama Canal expansion and revealing how it will affect Georgia’s economy.
Farmer and the specials unit won several accolades for their series of reports from the Arizona-Mexico border showing the realities of porous borders, security risks, and human trafficking.
