From June 2008 to August 2008, she was an International Production intern at ESPN Bristol, CT. She also interned at Comcast SportsNet Bay Area from June 2009 to August 2009. Lopez then joined CTV-11 in August 2009 and served as a sports anchor and reporter till her departure in May 2010.
In August 2010, she joined KPNX 12 News NBC in Phoenix, Arizona, and served as a sports multimedia journalist and reporter till February 2011. She later joined OneMinute News in Greenville, South Carolina where she served as a sports anchor and news correspondent. While at OneMinuteNews, she enclosed several major stories including the Japan tsunami, the 2011 NBA Finals, reactor meltdowns, and the death of Osama bin Laden.
From November 2011 to July 2014, she worked as a sports anchor and reporter at KRNV News in Reno, Nevada. During her tenure at KRNV, she hosted “Hometown Hoops” and “Friday Night Lights” as well as edited, shot, and anchored the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. sportscasts. She left KRNV in July 2014 and joined KUSA-TV in Denver, Colorado where she served as a sports anchor and reporter from August 2014 to August 2015. Prior to working at Arizona’s Family|CBS5, she worked as a sports reporter and anchor at KSEE24 & CBS47 in Fresno, California from October 2015 till October 2021.
