Dellacamera serves at FOX Sports as a play-by-play sportscaster primarily for Major League Soccer with the Philadelphia Union, as well as major soccer tournaments and ice hockey. The Colin Jose Media Award winner was the main play-by-play announcer for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019TM and the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 on FOX Sports. The iconic broadcaster will be the lead announcer for the 2021 SheBelieves Cup Tournament, as he was for the 2017 and 2019 SheBelieves Cup Tournaments, as well as the 2018 Concacaf Women’s Championship. From 1995 to 2007, he called four consecutive Women’s World Cups on ESPN. His most famous assignment took place at the Rose Bowl in 1999 when the United States Women’s National Team won the FIFA Women’s World CupTM in a memorable shootout victory over China. In the same year, he was the play-by-play announcer for the UEFA Champions League Final, which Manchester United won thanks to David Beckham. Dellacamera worked for NBC from 2004 to 2012, covering three Olympic Games and serving as the lead play-by-play announcer for men’s and women’s soccer in 2004 and 2008.
On a club level, Dellacamera has provided commentary for the Philadelphia Union as well as several other MLS broadcasts on FOX Sports, ESPN/ABC, and Comcast SportsNet. Dellacamera called New York Cosmos games on One World Sports Network from 2013 to 2016, as well as Wednesday Night Soccer and NASL Game of the Week segments.
Dellacamera also helped cover the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup for FOX Sports. He was the voice of WUSA, the country’s first women’s professional soccer league, during its inaugural season in 2000. Dellacamera has called hockey for NHL Network and ESPN in addition to his soccer highlights.
