Jordan Norkus is an American anchor who is currently working at WETM. She serves as the weeknights anchor at 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m. In addition, she joined the WETM news team in December 2019. Waterbury, Connecticut is her native home. she attended Sacred Heart University where she graduated proudly with a B.A. in Media Arts (Concentration in Journalism) and Theatre Arts (Concentration in Musical Theatre) in 2018. She furthered her education at Sacred Heart where she studied for a year and graduated in 2019, with a master’s in broadcast Journalism and Media Production.
Furthermore, while she was at Sacred Heart, she was part of the student-run television news program and newspaper, among many other media-related clubs and activities. In addition, she also played leading roles within the university’s Theatre Arts Program—through which she was nominated for six BroadwayWorld Awards.
Furthermore, she did intern and served as a freelance reporter at WSHU Public Radio—Connecticut and Long Island’s NPR-affiliated radio station. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, binge-watching television shows, and eating pasta.
