Green joined CBS News after spending five years on WBZ-TV in Boston. Green was Vice President and News Editor until recently. In 2015, he joined WBZ as Assistant Director of News. His career has received a number of Emmy Awards. The station has received the Edward R. Murrow Award for General Excellence during its time at WBZ.
In a career covering more than 20 years, Green has been working on a variety of big news stories, including the fatal Amtrak derailment in Philadelphia and the Merrimack Valley house bombings in Massachusetts. Green was an associate producer at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia before working at WBZ.
Previously, he was an associate producer at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh and earlier at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach. Green started his career as a producer at WCTI-TV in New Bern, N.C., before stopping at WCNC-TV and WSOC-TV in Charlotte and WRAL-TV in Raleigh.
He is a member of the CBS Diversity Committee and a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. He has served on the board of the Eastern Massachusetts Community League and as a member of the Boston Racial Justice Advisory Board. He has worked as a C-Suite director of the Boston Collaboration Group.
