Raineri serves at KGW-TV as the Weather Anchor and reporter for KGW News. Before joining the station, he served at KIRO-TV in Seattle, where he forecasted convergence zone weather disturbances and an onslaught of rain.
Joe began his career in broadcasting while working at KBVR-TV, Oregon State University’s campus station, where he did everything from anchoring to reporting to producing nightly newscasts. He went on to Mississippi State University to get his Meteorology degree after graduating from OSU.
Joe previously served as a meteorologist and reporter in Portland for nearly a decade, covering everything from snowstorms to floods and tornadoes. Joe is an avid sports enthusiast who has previously worked as a sports anchor.
He’s covered the Portland Trail Blazers (for whom he’s had a soft spot since he was a kid), Timbers games, and countless Civil War games between his Beavers and the Ducks. The 2008 USA Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene were the most memorable sporting event he’d ever covered. He’s also worked at KFXO in Central Oregon and KVAL in Eugene throughout the course of his fifteen-year career.
