Jill Marie Jones is an American actress and former professional dancer and cheerleader. She is best known for her role on the UPN comedy series, Girlfriends as Antoinette Childs-Garrett. In addition, she has also appeared in several films and had the recurring role of Cynthia Irving on the Fox supernatural series, Sleepy Hollow.

Marie began working on-screen in 2000, on City Guys which aired on Saturday mornings. As for her education, Marie attended Duncanville High School and Texas Woman’s University where she graduated proudly. Still in the year 2000, she won the co-leading role alongside  Persia White, Golden Brooks, and Tracee Ellis Ross on the UPN comedy series, Girlfriends. 

After she left Girlfriends, she started starring in films. She had the opportunity to be the female leading role in the comedy films Universal Remote and Redrum (both 2007). In addition, she also made appearances in The Perfect Holiday, opposite  Terrence Howard, and Queen Latifah as well as Gabrielle Union, Rachel True, and Morris Chestnut.

Furthermore, she also did the film Major Movie Star with Jessica Simpson in August 2007. She also did appear in the Ne-Yo video for “She Got Her Own” which is a remix to his hit single “Miss Independent” in September 2008. Later on, she did appear in Got Your Back music video in 2010 which started T.I. ft. Keri Hilson. Additionally, in 2006, she co-starred alongside Laura Harring in the independent film Drool.

Girlfriends is an American sitcom television series that premiered on September 11, 2000, on UPN and later aired on The CW. The show was later canceled in February 2008. In the series, Marie played the role of Antoinette “Toni” Marie Childs-Garrett who was Joan’s friend since they were eight years old. The two had attended elementary, high school, and college together.

Toni was brought up poor on a farm with an alcoholic mother in Fresno, California. She was seen as the shallow and popular one of the girlfriends and is the self-proclaimed “cute one” of the group. In addition, during the first season, Toni and Maya don’t get along as she considered Maya to be a lower-class intruder. However, she later came to embrace her as a friend. Furthermore, Toni is a real estate agent who ultimately opens her own brokerage and gets back with Greg Sparks who happens to be the love of her life. 

However, Greg dumps her when he learns she cheated on him with Dr. Clay Spencer. Toni later gets married to Todd Garrett who is a white, Jewish plastic surgeon. The two fight over the custody of the child but later sort out their issues. 

  Joan misses the custody hearing leading to the fight that ultimately ends Toni and Joan’s friendship. Later on, Toni relocates to New York City so Morgan can be closer to Todd. However, she maintains her friendships with Maya and Lynn. Toni’s condo was located in Hollywood.
