Governor Christie backed down from the plan in July 2015 as a result of media coverage and persistent parental pressure. Schneider also worked as a litigation attorney in New York City for two years. Schneider got her start as a video journalist at Capital News 9 in Albany, New York, where she was the Amsterdam, NY Bureau Chief, and Political Reporter. Then, while working as a Weekend Morning Anchor and Reporter at WFSB-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, Schneider went to law school.
