Duncan serves at CBS as a national correspondent and anchor of the Sunday edition of CBS Weekend News. She has covered such notable reports as allegations against R Kelly, Bill Cosby, and Harvey Weinstein; the deaths of four Marines and a Navy sailor in Chattanooga; the 70th anniversary of D-Day and Normandy; and a host of national news stories. Most recently, Duncan broadcast from Pennsylvania for the 2020 presidential election and interviewed Breonna Taylor’s mother, including breaking news to the CBS audience that no one will be charged specifically with Taylor’s murder.
She was also one of the few network correspondents on the ground in Alabama to cover the passage of that state’s most draconian abortion law since Roe v. Wade. She spent time in Washington D.C. in 2018. It’s shielding the White House. Duncan has since published a number of national news reports that have carried her away from the United States.
Duncan is an Emmy-nominated journalist who has won a variety of awards for her work, including two National Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio Television Multimedia News Association and recognition from the Associated Press and the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, which named her Journalist of the Year in 2012.
Duncan spent three years at KYW, the CBS-owned TV station in Philadelphia, before joining CBS News. At KYW, she won first place in the Associated Press for a series of stories on disabled people who were left hostage in a social security scam. Duncan has included Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
