Hubbard is the co-anchor of FOX31 Denver News at 5 pm, 9 pm, and 10 pm with Aristea Brady. Hubbard is returning to FOX31 Denver for the second time. From 2004 to 2007, he worked as a weekend anchor. He left for ABC News in 2007, first as a Chicago-based correspondent, then as an anchor and correspondent in New York.
Hubbard co-anchored ABC’s national early-morning newscasts, “World News Now” and “America This Morning,” and reported for “Good Morning America,” “World News with Diane Sawyer,” and “Nightline,” traveling across the country and internationally to cover breaking news, severe weather, the economy, and politics. He has reported from more than 40 countries since returning to FOX31 Denver.
He’s traveled to Afghanistan to profile Colorado Air Force reservists, returned to the battlefields of Vietnam with local veterans, and visited Normandy, Pearl Harbor, and the Pacific Islands with World War II heroes. He’s traveled to the Philippines, Tunisia, and several European countries to research Colorado soldiers who are buried there.
He will travel to Kosovo in 2020 to profile Colorado National Guard troops stationed there. His reporting has taken him to Polish concentration camps to tell the stories of Holocaust survivors who have come to Colorado. He has also reported from North Korea, Japan, China, Indonesia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, and the West Bank.
