Before she joined CNN, she worked for the NBC affiliate, WTVJ-TV in Miami, Florida, where she served as a feature reporter and weekend morning show meteorologist. While there, she reported on severe/harsh weather in the field and assisted in producing specials whose focus was on hurricane safety and preparedness. Gray also served as a co-host and co-producer of “Florida Insider Fishing Report” for Sun Sports. In conjunction with the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, he co-produced and co-hosted “Beyond The Reef” where they raised awareness of conservation issues that were facing the oceans and the fisheries in Florida State.

Before going to WTVJ, she worked as a meteorologist for the NBC affiliate, KBTV 4 in Beaumont, Texas, and the ABC affiliate, KTBS 3 in Shreveport, Louisiana. During this time, she reported on flooding, hurricanes, record heat waves, tornados, and ice storms. Also, she provided live coverage of live events, such as Super Bowl XLIV. Gray holds the American Meteorology Society’s (AMS) Seal of Approval.
