During her time there, she worked for one year while she was at Bradley University. Rebholz was involved in a service group directly supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
She was always into sports and competition and therefore studying spots broadcasting felt like a great fit for her. It wasn’t until her internships with three new stations and the Peoria Riverman that she realized her heart was with local news. Jenise says that it was that it was her dream to work with WHOI and WEEK-TV.
Rebholz worked for WMBD News 31 as a Sports News Intern from May 2015 and August 2015 in the Peoria, Illinois Area. From January 2015 and May 2015, she worked for WHOI-TV serving as a Special Programs Intern in East Peoria. She has also worked for the Peoria Rivermen Hockey Club in Peoria, Illinois as a Communications Intern for one year (From October 2014 and April 2015).
While she was working for WHOI-TV, she hosted special programs such as Ask the Attorney, and Good Company, among others. Rebholz started reporting back in the year 2017 and found a permanent spot at the anchor desk back in 2018. People have seen her face on several broadcasts but she states that her commitment has always been the same.
During her free time, she likes taking her son to new places that the Central Illinois area has to offer such as parks, playgrounds, and zoos. In addition to this, she states that she is not sure who likes seeing animals more whether it is her or her son. She also likes catching iced coffee from a local spot.
In her career as a journalist, she won an INBA Best Newscast Award back in the year 2021. The year 2019 he also won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Social Media Presence.
