Weinsier serves as an investigative reporter at WPLG Local 10 News. In addition to this role at WPLG, he also serves as the host of Dirty Dining at WPLG Local 10 News. Over the years, some of his investigative reports caused the creation of new state laws in 2003 and 2004. He also unmasked inmates on work release, driving state vans uninsured and unsupervised, and soon after Senate Bill 278 was passed making it illegal for inmates to drive.
Weinsier also unmasked a registered sex offender in 2004 who was about to be appointed to a local park and recreation board. He also enclosed the uncounted ballots found hidden in the Broward Supervisor of Elections Office which led to local and state investigations into Supervisor of Elections Miriam Oliphant. Due to his investigative reports, companies like Auto Nation, Mattress Giant, Office Depot, and Bally Total Fitness began giving attention to clients who felt they were scammed.
Weinsier was named Communicator of the Year in April 2004 by Women in Communications. He went to North Miami Beach Senior High School where he obtained his high school diploma. He, later on, joined the University of Florida where he attained his bachelor’s degree. Weinsier began his TV career at WCJB-TV, the ABC affiliate in Gainesville where he served as a reporter. He, later on, moved on to work at WJXT in Jacksonville where he also served as a reporter from January 1992 till his departure in September 1994.
