Previously, he was also self-employed serving as the President for Pittsburgh Weather Now/WhiteBoard Weather in Greater Pittsburgh Area. He was serving as a self-employed between April 2019 and October 2020. Prior to this, he was also working for KDKA-TV serving the station as a Chief Meteorologist. He undertook this role between April 1996 and December 2018.
Previously, he also worked for Pittsburgh Steelers serving the team as a KidZone Host. He undertook this role between 2003 and August 2015. Verszyla has also previously worked for KRGV-TV in Weslsco, Texas serving the team as a Morning Weather Personality / Anchor.

This is evidenced by a post he shared on his Instagram Account on the 2nd of July 2022 wishing her wife a Happy 17th Anniversary. They are proud parents to their two sons namely Carson and Alexander.
Alexander was born in the month of September 2006 and is therefore 17 years old as of 2023. Carson on the other hand happens to be a hockey player who found himself on SportCenter back in the month of June 2021. Asides from this, he is a student at Pine-Richland District School.
