Ehling is a Reporter and anchor at ABC13, Houston. He serves as a weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter. Ehling started his journalism career in his hometown of Statenville, Georgia in 1986. For three years he served in Valdosta, Georgia at ABC Affiliate WVGA prior to joining NBC affiliate WMGT in Macon, Georgia.
He acquired a job in Tallahassee, Florida in 1990 to serve at the CBS affiliate, WCTV. During his time there, he served as the Bureau Chief in Valdosta, the position gave him the opportunity to again report on the news. He was elevated to the weekend anchor before departing WCTV.
Ehling traveled to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1996 and while there he worked as a general assignment reporter. A month later after moving to Texas in December 1999, he landed a morning reporter position at KTRK.
In the course of his time there, he covered Operation Iraqi Freedom from Kuwait and Iraq, Texas troops guarding the prisoners at Guantanamo, Cuba, as well as hurricanes. During his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his wife and two children. He likes pro football (GO TEXANS). He looks forward to many more exciting stories and happy years in Houston.
