Elle is a reporter who is based in San Francisco but travels where the story takes her. A Bay Area native, Elle schooled at San Mateo High School and then attended Humboldt State in Northern California where she got her start in TV news. She interned at KVIQ in Eureka and after her internship, she got hired and learned how to shoot, edit, and write for the evening show.
Elle went after a change of pace and took a producing job at KOIN in Portland, Oregon after several years on the North Coast. She headed back to California and got a reporting job at KSBY in San Luis Obispo after working overnights for two years.
In 1999 it was time to come home after enjoying every minute for two years. Elle has been at KNTV since then reporting for the 11 p.m. news. Currently, Elle lives in San Francisco with her husband and dog Dolly who is a rescue from the Oakland SPCA. When she is not at work she spends her time gardening, surfing, tossing the tennis ball for the dog, and searching for story ideas.
Elle’s favorite part of the job is meeting her colleagues in the Bay Area and telling their stories. If one is around San Francisco you might just see her dragging her husband along on a cable car, it’s the best $5 ride around.
