Jason DeRusha is an American nine-times Emmy award-winning reporter and anchor working for WCCO. He joined the station in 2003. Prior to joining WCCO, he was working at WISN-TV in Milwaukee.

DeRusha is a nine-time Emmy award-winning reporter and anchor at WCCO. He joined the station in 2003. He co-anchors WCCO Mid-Morning from 9 to 10 a.m. and WCCO This Morning weekdays from 4:30 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. In addition, he produces “DeRusha Eats” as the station’s food reporter.
Prior to joining WCCO, he was working at WISN-TV in Milwaukee as a reporter, he served there for three years. Before that, he was a reporter at WREX-TV in Rockford, Illinois, and the anchor of weekend news at KWQC-TV in Davenport, Iowa.
In addition, he interned at “ABC World News Tonight” in New York. Since joining WCCO, he has won nine Emmy Awards. His food report was a finalist for Outstanding TV Segment in the prestigious national James Beard Awards. He was named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans by the Jaycees.
The city of Minneapolis proclaimed Sept. 21 “Jason DeRusha Day.” While working at WCCO-TV, DeRusha was among the first television reporters on the air and on the scene during the Interstate 35W bridge collapse. For five and a half years, he has answered “Good Question.”
