Carroll has covered has also covered the Hurricane in Puerto Rico and the earthquake in Haiti.

Other than working as a reporter, Carroll has also worked as a host of a number of documentaries for CNN. In his series and documentary, “A Soldier’s Story,” he covered Muhammad Ali’s death. Also, in the summer of 2011 and 2010, he followed the lives of Army soldiers, as he went to Afghanistan. Carroll has been in Papua New Guinea, where he worked with James Cameron (Oscar Winning Director).
