Pauley serves at CBS as the anchor of CBS Sunday Morning. She is the recipient of several Emmys, including the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism, the Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence, and the Gracie Allen Award from the Foundation of American Women in Radio & Television.
In 2014, Pauley joined “CBS Sunday Morning” as a contributor and an alternative anchor. Before joining CBS News, Pauley had a familiar presence on overnight, afternoon, and primetime television. In 1976, she started her career in television networking as co-host of NBC’s “Today” program. She spent 13 years on morning broadcast, and a decade on “Dateline NBC,” beginning in 1992. She hosted the syndicated daytime series, “The Jane Pauley Show,” in 2004. Pauley, a long-standing champion for children’s well-being and education, is now a well-respected voice for mental health.

Jane Pauley Family
Pauley is the fifth generation Hoosier and the second wife of Richard Grandison Pauley and Mary E. Pauley (née Patterson). Her father was a traveling salesman, and her mother was a homemaker. According to her memoir, Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue, Pauley identified herself as such a timid little kid that she allowed her second-class teacher to call her Margaret Pauley all year long instead of telling her that she preferred her middle name, Jane. Pauley grew up idolizing her older sibling, Ann, who has been her nearest trustee since childhood.
