D’Atri is the Creator, Host, and Producer of “The One Minute Kitchen” at A Brighter Day. She started her television career as an anchor for KTVN Ch 2 (CBS) in 1976 in Reno, Nevada. Two years later, D’Atri became the first PM Magazine co-host in a small market, capturing a 48 share in its first year, making it ranked the highest-rated PM Magazine in the country. She arrived at KTVK Channel 3 in Phoenix in 1979 to again co-host PM Magazine and for the next 23 years, she remained at KTVK.

Throughout her television career, she has hosted and produced seven television shows. She has won the national Gabriel Award and three Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards. Her time at KTVK TV in Phoenix, Arizona in time led to her own one-hour syndicated television show, Southwest Style, airing in 24 cities in eight states.

In 1990, D’Atri opened D’Atri Gourmet Foods in Arizona and started to manufacture and distribute a gourmet line of Italian Sausages and Biscotti. Since then she has created an upscale brand of Italian cookies sold often on QVC under her Momma and Me label. D’Atri added restaurateur to her list of accomplishments when she opened D’Atri’s Cinema Paradiso in Scottsdale in 2001, a quaint and casual 14-table eatery named one of Arizona’s Top 100 Restaurants.

In 2006, she and her mother Livia collaborated on their first cookbook, Momma & Me & You, which chronicles her mother’s original recipes and stories from her own gourmet Italian restaurant, D’Atri’s at Lake Tahoe. In 2008, the second cookbook, “Rescued Recipes” followed.

She co-hosts and creates cooking and lifestyle segments for KPNX TV 12 (NBC) in Phoenix, Arizona. Weekly, she produces and hosts, The Jan D’Atri Show, on KFYI Radio. Additionally,  D’Atri writes two weekly syndicated columns for the Arizona Republic and Times Publications.
