Staton serves at WMUR as a sports anchor from Monday to Friday at 5, 6, 10, and 11 pm. Before joining WMUR, he was in Charleston, West Virginia, anchoring sports at WOWK-TV. Staton has served at Fox affiliates in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as well as Martinsburg, West Virginia.
An alumnus of Ithaca College, Staton graduated from Pinkerton Academy and in the year 2004, he was recruited into the school’s Hall of Fame. Staton started a food drive at high school football games called “New Hampshire Tackles Hunger.” 470,000 pounds of food have been collected for needy families through New Hampshire Tackles Hunger.
He also serves as the emcee for a number of events, including the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program, which he has been doing since 2006. Staton is a 6-time runner for the Boston Marathon.
