Dodds serves at FOX Sports as a daily contributor to FS1’s studio show SPEAK FOR YOURSELF. In his role, “Uncle Jimmy,” provides comic relief and extra commentary. Dodds started out in the late 1990s as a regular caller on Jason Whitlock’s Kansas City radio show, “Jason Whitlock’s Neighborhood.” He later joined Whitlock’s radio show on 610 AM Sports Radio Kansas City as a cast member.
Uncle Jimmy worked in a number of positions in Kansas City, including several years as a deputy sheriff with the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office. He was promoted to sergeant. He also received service awards for his volunteer work after Hurricane Katrina and Rita. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served for four years. He sang in his school choir. Following graduation, he joined and served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
