Jack Royer Career
Royer serves as the weekend reporter and anchor at WFLA News. He previously worked at CBS 42 where he served as the main anchor and reporter based in Birmingham, Alabama. While at CBS 42, he anchored weekday morning and evening newscasts. Prior to that, he worked at WVUA 23 based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama from June 2015 till his departure in May 2017.

From September 2014 to June 2015, he worked at The University of Alabama where he served as a reporter and host. Prior to that, he worked at Mountain Brook Schools where he served as a play-by-play host based in Birmingham, Alabama. He went to The University of Alabama where he attained his Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication and Film/Communication Studies.
Royer is also active when it comes to helping out in his community. For instance, he is a mentor at the UA College of Communication and Information Sciences since January 2022. From January 2017 to January 2022, he volunteered as a Master of Ceremonies at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham. From August 2017 to August 2020, he volunteered as a member Board of Directors at All In Mountain Brook.
