Brown is a reporter at WCCO-TV. She rejoined the station in 2012 as a reporter for WCCO This Morning and WCCO Mid-Morning. Brown also serves on WCCO 4 News at 10. Prior to joining WCCO, she worked at WNYW for four years. She was able to cover the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, Hurricane Sandy, and also New York City public schools while in the Big Apple. Brown joined WCCO first in 2006 through 2010.
Throughout her career, she has covered the 35W bridge collapse, the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, and the destructive forest fires in the Boundary Waters. She traveled to western Minnesota and reported the historic flooding in Fargo and tornadoes for CBS News.
Prior to working in Minnesota, she worked in Columbia, S.C. at WIS as a reporter. While there, she produced an award-winning education series that helped students get school supplies needed in many South Carolina classrooms and reported on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina from Biloxi. In addition, she covered the 2004 S.C. Democratic presidential primary.
She began her career after school in Los Angeles at CNBC where she produced business news stories for nearly two years prior to heading to Boston. Brown participated in nine marathons, in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program, and she is proud of her Department of Natural Resources firefighting certification. During her free time, she loves exploring parks, lakes, as well as restaurants all over Twin Cities together with her husband and children.
