Nix recently served at KARK as a weekend meteorologist. On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, Nix made an announcement in regard to his resignation from KARK. He stated that his last day on-air would be February 27.
At the end of his announcements, he said that he would be starting a “new adventure” at the beginning of March, but did not disclose what it was. He joined the Arkansas Storm Team in February 2017. Nix covered a total of 5 years with the station.
He returned to the Natural State as the morning meteorologist for KTXS-TV in Abilene, Texas. He attended Mississippi State University after graduating from Rison High School and earned a degree in meteorology. Hayden’s interest in weather began at a young age.
Beginning his career in West Texas, he’s had the opportunity to forecast everything from winter storms to severe weather. Hayden has also received the National Weather Association’s distinguished broadcast meteorologist mark of approval.
