Ginger Renee Zuidgeest is an American meteorologist and TV personality working for ABC News serving as the Chief Meteorologist. She has been working for the station since 2011.

Zee went to Rockford High School in Rockford, Michigan where she graduated in 1999. Later on, she joined Valparaiso University, where she attained her Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology and a major in both mathematics and Spanish.

Zee is a meteorologist and tv personality who had also worked for other stations prior to joining ABC News. She also spent some time as an intern at WBMA-LD ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama whereby she served under chief meteorologist James Spann. She then landed a job at WEYI-TV in Flint, Michigan where she served as a meteorologist. After a while of working for the station, she moved to WYIN-TV in Merrillville, Indiana.

 Later on, she joined WLAV-FM and WOOD-TV both in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She moved to WMAQ in Chicago, Illinois, an NBC-owned and operated station. During her tenure at WMAQ from 2006 to 2011, she managed to fill in as a guest meteorologist on the weekend edition of The Today Show which was a dream come true for her. Furthermore, she is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist by AMS.

On November 12, 2011, Zee joined Good Morning America Weekend and from then, she has won the attention and love of her many viewers. She also makes appearances on ABC World News Tonight as well as Nightline. She became a Chief Meteorologist for Good Morning America on December 2, 2013. This was after Sam Champion who was the station’s Chief Meteorologist left for The Weather Channel. She also competed in an episode of Celebrity Jeopardy in 2015 whereby she was against Bellamy Young.

Zee was also tagged as a celebrity competitor on the 22nd season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars on March 4, 2016. During the competition, she was paired with Valentin Chmerkovskiy, a professional dancer who was in third place.
