Gabriella earned a magna cum laude degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications before relocating to the Midwest. Gabriella worked tirelessly at CitrusTV, the nation’s oldest student-run television station, during her four years at ‘Cuse.

Rusk serves at NBC 15 as a news anchor and reporter. She began as the Weekend Morning news anchor and reporter at NBC 15. Gabriella has covered several breaking news stories throughout her career, including reports on severe weather and historic flooding. She was also one of the first reporters on the scene of the Middleton workplace shooting.
She joins us from NBC15’s sister station in Davenport, Iowa. Gabriella worked as a news anchor and reporter at KWQC, but she also worked in the sports department. One of her personal highlights was providing live coverage of the 2016 World Series parade. As a sports fan, she is excited to cheer on the Badgers, Packers, and Brewers – unless they are playing against the Chicago teams.
Gabriella worked as an intern for WSVN-TV in Miami for two summers during her college years. Gabriella worked as an intern at the NBC Sports Complex in Stamford, CT, during the 2014 Sochi Winter Games, producing content for the Olympics broadcasts. When she is not working, Gabriella can be found volunteering for causes she is passionate about.
When she is not working, Gabriella can be found volunteering for causes she is passionate about. She frequently volunteers with the Madison Reading Project, a non-profit near and dear to her heart as an avid reader. Gabriella is a Friend of Madison Libraries and enjoys assisting at monthly book sales. Gabriella was inspired to volunteer with Second Harvest as part of the NRSSH team after being introduced to the NBC15 Share Your Holidays campaign.
